CarbonSketch ("we", "us") is operated by Sustainability 1.0.1. This policy explains what data we collect when you use carbonsketch.in and how we handle it.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo, received from Google when you sign in with Google OAuth.
- Project data — building project details, material quantities, and Bill of Quantities (BoQ) files you upload to the tool.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and technical logs (IP address, browser type) to keep the service running and improve it.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
How we use it
We use your data to provide the service (running embodied carbon calculations on your projects), manage your subscription, respond to support requests, and improve CarbonSketch. We do not sell your data, use your project data to train models, or share your projects with other users.
Where your data lives
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region, India. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
Third parties
We share data only with the services needed to run CarbonSketch:
- Google — for sign-in (OAuth)
- Amazon Web Services — for hosting and storage
- Razorpay — for payment processing
Each operates under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose data if required by Indian law.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Deleting your account removes your profile and project data from our active systems within 30 days. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.
Cookies
We use a session cookie strictly to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the revised version here with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
